FROM M25: (10 minutes)
Take exit 6: A22 to Eastbourne. Follow brown signs marked "Lingfield Racecourse". When you reach Blindley Heath, you will see a Texaco Garage sign (Red & Black Five Pointed Star) on your left just before some traffic lights. Turn left at the traffic lights, and then take the second left into Lingfield Common Road. You will find the house, BILLHURST, exactly half a mile along this road on your right.
If you overshoot and reach the Hare and Hounds pub, turn around in the pub car park and return to the second drive on your left.

FROM EDENBRIDGE: (10 minutes)
Take the Haxted Road. Within ten minutes, you will pass a railway bridge and a staggered crossroads just before the Hare and Hounds pub. Billhurst is the second driveway on your left after you pass the pub.

FROM COPTHORNE, HORSHAM AND HORLEY: (20 minutes)
Take the A264 in the direction of East Grinstead. At the Duke's Head roundabout in Copthorne, turn left, following signs to Lingfield. At the staggered crossroads between the Effingham Park Hotel and the Snow Hill Garden Centre, go straight over (by turning right and then immediately left) and continue to the roundabout by the Church of Latter Day Saints (large Mormon church with spire). Go straight over the roundabout, continue until reaching Lingfield village. At the T junction by the Total garage, turn left. Take the second turning right into Lingfield Common Road (immediately after a small sharp bend).
You will find the house, BILLHURST, exactly half a mile along this road on your right. If you overshoot and reach the Hare and Hounds pub, turn around in the pub car park and return to the second drive on your left.

FROM BRIGHTON: (45 minutes)
Take the M23 to Junction 10. At the roundabout, head for East Grinstead and Copthorne on the A264 Copthorne Way (opposite direction to Crawley). Take the A264 to East Grinstead, and at the turning to Edenbridge, turn right. Once in Edenbridge, follow directions to Lingfield along the road to Haxted. FROM THE CENTRE OF LINGFIELD
From the High Street:
Follow the road past the village pond and The Cage pub, turn right at the roundabout onto the Godstone Road, with the Total Garage on your left. Take the second turning right into Lingfield Common Road (immediately after a small sharp bend).

To walk, turn right onto station road.
After 10 minutes, Station Road becomes Crowhurst Road (warning: Crowhurst
Road has no pedestrian pavement for 200 yards - walking is not recommended
for late-afternoon appointments in wintertime).
Turn left at the crossroads next to the Hare and Hounds pub.
